FOR THE SANDWICH
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 4 Tbsp butter softened
  • 1/4 cup Russian dressing see below
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 350 g corned beef from our deli
  • 1 cup Tender Lovin' Carraway Seed Kraut
FOR THE RUSSIAN DRESSING
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbs ketchup
  • 2 tbs horseradish
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbs caster sugar
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Sea salt flakes
  • freshly ground black pepper

FOR THE RUSSIAN DRESSING
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbs ketchup
  • 2 tbs horseradish
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbs caster sugar
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Sea salt flakes
  • freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
RUSSIAN DRESSING
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire, sugar, and paprika until combined. Season with salt and pepper.
SANDWICHES
  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread. On the non-butter side spread Russian dressing on each slice. Top half of the slices with cheese, corned beef, and kraut.
  2. Top each sandwich with remaining slices, dressing side down.
  3. Heat a fry pan over medium heat. Place a sandwich in the pan and cook until golden and cheese is melted, around 3 minutes per side.
